It’s the day of your wedding and you are at your hotel room at noon, fully dressed in your tux and ready to get married.

The only problem is that your wedding is not going to start for 5 more hours.

The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5:00 and your bride to be is in her suite being transformed to wedding day from by hair and make-up, so what to do if you’re the groom.

For many the answer may be obvious, “hit the bar” however, this is a perfect time to get some groom preparation shots, which are not only for the bride, or shots of the groom and the groomsmen.

In this case you may have to either split the time with your brides and her preparation shots or you can have a two photographer format.

Many studios offer a 2nd photographer as part of their package and many others offer a second photographer for jus the preparation or for the entire day.

Make sure to confirm that you are getting a 2nd photographer and not just an assistant; this will ensure that your shots are taken by the professional service you are paying for.

For grooms, well this is a perfect time to be a ham and get some of those GQ poses with your groomsmen, either way make sure your preparation is captured in your wedding day, despite not having a hair and makeup artist work on you for three, plus hours.
