“It may rain”….”One of the groom’s men is not here yet”……”The brides maids dress does not fit”…..because she got pregnant, and “the reception location does not have AC and it’s predicted to be 98 degrees”.

These are just a small sample of frantic thoughts, I hear verbalized by brides and grooms before their wedding so, how do I answer each couple?

“The show must go on!” I make every effort to point out to each couple that neither weather or guests or any other obstacle they may fear, will prevent them from getting married (with exception to the extraordinary, and I might add rare, circumstances.).

In past posts I showcased how, rolling clouds and rain, can help create unique photographs and leave your with memories you would not otherwise receive.

I also make every effort to remind the couple why they are getting married in the first place, and with almost ten years of marriage and two kids under my belt, I can tell you that not everything goes according to the plans you may have drawn out for yourself, but if you stay focused on the things that matter, you will overcome any challenge.

What matters most on your wedding day, is that you met and fell in love with a person you want to spend the rest of your life with and nothing can change that. Plus worrying about things you cannot control will only make you tenser and keep you from focusing on having a great time at the event you worked so hard to put together.  What matter most on your wedding day is you enjoying it!

Some of the best images I see in our studio, are usually those from couples who are truly enjoying their wedding day and the pictures and video will reflect that.
