Holiday Weekend Wedding Etiquette!

The following suggestion is based on my personal opinion and feeling regarding your questions and would most likely change with each person you asked, within the industry or outside.

With Memorial Day quickly approaching many couples yet to pick their date, have asked my opinion, as a professional in the wedding industry, about having a wedding on a long weekend, and what if any etiquette is applied to this circumstance.

Yes many people plan long weekend and vacations around the long weekends throughout the spring, summer, fall and even winter however, there will be many more Memorial Day weekends and long weekends in general and there will only be one wedding for you!

My personal advice to any couple is that, if you begin to try to make everyone happy, you will forget the most important people of the day who need to be happy and that is you. You should do what you feel is best for you. Your family and friends will be fine with your choice and even those who may have some complaints will be happy for the extra days to enjoy a great wedding recovery before getting back to work.

Our studio has weddings on just about every long weekend throughout the year, including this Memorial Day and they are usually great!

I hope that helps with your decision making and if you have any specific questions about long weekend weddings, please do not hesitate to let me know.
